Commercial Cleaning Chippendale — Hospitality and High-Rise in 2008

Chippendale NSW 2008 is a short run north of our Waterloo base and shares its defining trait: dense residential towers sitting directly on top of busy commercial ground floors. The old brewery site brought thousands of apartments, and with them a strip of bars, restaurants, galleries and small studios, alongside retail on the Broadway edge and design tenancies in converted terraces. Pro Clean Corp is servicing Waterloo 2017 and surrounds, and the same crews that clean the Lachlan precinct handle Chippendale on the same shift.

Hospitality under apartments

Chippendale venues trade late and sit beneath people trying to sleep, which constrains the clean far more than the food does. Bin movements, machine work and dock access are restricted to defined hours by the owners corporation, and a contractor who ignores that becomes a formal complaint inside a month. We sequence the shift to fit: waste and any noisy tasks first inside the permitted window, then the quiet detailing — kitchen degreasing, cool room seals, bar tops, floors and grout, front of house glass and furniture.

Grease is the other shared-building issue. It travels from a venue's back door across common property, and the argument over who cleans it consumes an extraordinary amount of strata committee time. Where we hold both the venue scope and the building's common area program, that argument disappears — one supervisor is accountable from the kitchen door to the street. Full hospitality detail is on our cafe and restaurant cleaning page.

Common property in the brewery-site towers

The residential buildings here carry the same daily load as their Waterloo equivalents: heavy parcel and delivery traffic, constant tenant churn, entry glass handled hundreds of times a day, and bin rooms generating more volume than they were designed for. Our program covers lobby floors and glass, lift cars including door tracks, corridors and fire stairs on rotation, bin room cleaning and presentation to the council cycle, and basement lobbies and drive aisles — with periodic machine work covered on our car park cleaning page and entry presentation on the lobby and concierge program.

Every building gets a named supervisor, a signed visit log and a monthly photo report covering periodic work and any defects noticed on site. Strata managers use that report at committee meetings, which is worth considerably more than a line-item invoice.

Studios, galleries and small offices

Chippendale's converted terraces and small warehouse tenancies hold design studios, galleries and professional offices where the exclusion list matters as much as the scope. Artwork, installations and stock are never handled without written instruction — we clean floors, glass, amenities and agreed surfaces, and note everything off-limits on the site card so relief staff cannot make an expensive mistake. Original tiling, timber and render get neutral chemistry and minimal moisture rather than standard commercial product.

Terms and nearby coverage

Month-to-month agreements with 30 days notice, fixed monthly pricing after a walkthrough, police-checked cleaners and $20M public liability plus workers compensation. Head office is 77 Garfield Street, Wentworthville NSW 2145 — 1300 494 983. See the rates page and cost guide for numbers, or our neighbouring pages for Darlington, Eveleigh and Redfern.

Commercial cleaning Chippendale — FAQs

What do you clean in Chippendale?

Chippendale 2008 is a genuine mix — ground-floor bars, restaurants and galleries, small design and professional studios in converted terraces and warehouses, retail along the Broadway edge, and the common property of the large residential towers on the old brewery site. Most of our work here is hospitality and apartment common areas.

Do you clean apartment common property in the towers?

Regularly. The high-density buildings in Chippendale carry the same load as the Waterloo towers we service nightly — lobbies, lift cars, corridors, bin rooms, basement car parks and shared amenity decks — and we run the same daily program with a named supervisor and monthly photo reporting to the strata manager.

Can you clean a venue after a late close?

Yes. Chippendale hospitality trades late, so most venues here take a post-close or pre-open shift. Where the venue sits under apartments, machine work and bin movements are scheduled inside the building’s permitted hours so the clean does not generate a strata complaint.

What does it cost?

Hospitality runs $30 to $50 per hour, general commercial and studio work $32 to $46, and apartment common property is priced as a fixed monthly figure per building. Periodic jobs such as kitchen canopy degreasing or a basement scrub are quoted separately as fixed prices.

Do you handle gallery and studio spaces?

Yes, with a written exclusion list. Artwork, installations and stock are never handled without the client’s specific instruction — we clean floors, glass, amenities and surfaces to an agreed line and note anything off-limits on the site card so a relief cleaner cannot get it wrong.
